Whittie L. "W.L." Darden, Jr., 68, passed away July 1, 2014. He was the son of the late Whittie L. Darden, Sr. and Elsie Price Darden. W.L. was predeceased by his wife, Wanda Gay Darden and his sisters, Dot Perry and Ann Carr.
W.L. was retired from International Paper as a supervisor, former president of Community Hunt Club, PACE Local 1488, and current president of Holland Ruritan Club.
Survivors include his step-daughters, Dee-Dee Nislein and Dawn Burr; his step-son, Danny Nislein and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 7 PM on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Wright officiating. The family will receive friends after the service and suggests memorials be made to your favorite Relay for Life Team.
