Franklin – Winfred Earl Shelton, 87, widower of Fay Cobb Shelton, passed away September 19, 2018 in Cumming, GA. Earl was the son of the late James and Thelma Shelton and was also predeceased by a brother Walter. He was a graduate of Carrsville High School, a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, and an Assistant Paper Mill Superintendent with Union Camp Corporation. Earl was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his son David Earl Shelton and wife Nancy and two grandchildren Winston Foster Shelton and Victoria Cobb Shelton.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 25, 2018 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Marjorie Holm officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
