Windsor – Willie Saunders Clark, 73, passed away April 23, 2007. Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Willie Allen and Otelia Gay Saunders. She was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Patricia A. Clifford and husband, Charles, of Franklin; her son, H. Wayne Clark and wife, Denise, of Carrsville; five sisters, Sarah Edwards and Rebecca Hedgpeth, both of Windsor, Nancy Hall of Carrsville, Brenda Marshall of Franklin and Charlotte Woodie of Wakefield; four grandchildren, Trevis Carr, Mark "Richie" Carr, Tommy Wayne Clark, Jennifer C. Bailey and husband, Tracy; one great-grandchild, Landon Bailey. She was predeceased by two brothers, A.J. and Johnny Saunders and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Munford.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Howard Vinson officiating. Interment will follow in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from
7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
