Franklin - William Eldridge Worrell, 83, died July 31, 2007. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of the late Billy and Ethel Bradshaw Worrell. Mr. Worrell was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Edith Jordan Worrell and two brothers, Elvin and Fred Worrell. He was retired from St. Regis Paper Company after 35 years and was a member of the Moose Lodge. He was an avid gardner who loved growing and sharing his vegetables. He was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Patricia Morris of Drewryville and Mary K. Nichols of Franklin; one brother, Gene Worrell of Windsor; five grandchildren, Cindy H. Councill of Franklin, Robin H. Salmon of Suffolk, William David Nichols, Jr. of Carrsville, Wanda E. Parker of Suffolk, Marlene R. Morris of Franklin; and eleven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 3 pm at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Wright Funeral Home and suggest memorials be made to Franklin Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P. O.
