Franklin – William Marland Ward, 62, passed away March 23, 2015. William was born in Norfolk, VA and was a son of the late Hallet Marland Ward and Ilene Ward Edwards. He was a former millwright at the Particleboard Plant at International Paper/Nevamar and was currently working at Montague Farms in Windsor. He attended The Rock Church of Franklin. He enjoyed the river and was a former Bass Master.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Sharon Lunt Ward; one daughter, Crystal D. Ward of Franklin; two sons, William Shane Ward and wife, Audrey, and Robert Shawn Ward and wife, Merissa, all of Courtland; one brother, Bernard Eugene Ward of Norfolk; and seven grandchildren, Taylor, Angel, Bubby, Shawnray, Tasia, Hailey, and Christopher.

A funeral will held be at 11 AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Wright Funeral Home with Pastor David Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in the New Annex of Poplar Spring Cemetery.
