William B. Oshman, 73, passed away, Thursday, February 15, 2018.

Bill was born May 14, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Z. Frank and Annie Mae (Edwards) Oshman. He graduated from Granby High School in 1962 and graduated Norfolk College in December 1963. He joined the Coast Guard in 1964 as a culinary specialist. On January 5, 1983 he married Carole Oshman in Isle of Wight County. Bill was a retired warehouse supervisor from Nansemond Cold Storage. He was church treasurer and an active member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, where everyone knew him as "Uncle Bill". Bill was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.

Bill is survived by Carole, his wife of 35 years; three sons, David Oshman and his wife, Jennifer, Darren Stauffer and his wife, Mary, and Carl Stauffer and his wife, Sharon; three daughters, Robin Conner and husband, Donald, Stacy Pauley and husband, Chris, and Karen Russo; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside celebration of life service will be held 2PM Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church with Reverend Curt Faison officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Family Life Center of the church.
