Ivor - William 'Carey "Huck" Myers, 50, passed away peacefully at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital on June 10, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in Virginia, he was the son of the late William and Diana Myers Penington.  He was also predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Lucille Myers, and a special aunt who was like a mom, Phyllis Bankston.

Huck will be remembered for being a genuine and deeply loyal friend. He had the rare gift of making everyone feel like they belonged, like they mattered. His kindness was quiet, yet powerful, his loyalty unmatched, and his love was given unconditionally - especially for his godchildren. He showed up for every moment, big or small.

Survivors also include eleven cousins, Denise Lake, Crystal Miller, Eva Miller, Derrick Miller, Dennis Miller, Cindy, Marsha, Cathy, Adam Lake, Xander Lake and Kaleb Miller.

A gifted musician, Huck built lifelong connections through his music, whether performing onstage or gathered in a living room with friends, a guitar/drums and laughter in the air.  His humor was legendary - sharp, silly, and always perfectly timed. His impressions were just as memorable as his smile.

To his god children, he was a protector, hero, and a best friend. He gave his time, his wisdom, his boundless humor and above all his love. They will forever carry his spirit with them wherever they go.

Rest easy, dear friend. We will never stop missing you.
