Suffolk- Rev. William E. Hawkins, 91, passed away June 4, 2016 at East Pavilion. He was a son of the late Robert Lee Hawkins and Alice Mable Riddle Hawkins and was also predeceased by his wife Esther O'Dell Hawkins , a son, Glen R. Hawkins and a sister, Ruth Cowling.

Rev. Hawkins was a WWII Navy Veteran, one of the founding Pastors of Bethel Assembly of God in Suffolk, VA and a former employee of Union Camp Corporation.

Left to cherish his memory is a daughter, Susan Joan Tinch of NY, a daughter-in-law, Judy Hawkins of Suffolk, a sister, Alice Mable Clarke of Waverly, a brother, Dr. Robert Thornton Hawkins of Richmond, four grandchildren, Bryan Tinch, Coleman Ashley Hawkins and his wife, Molly, Joshua Lee Hawkins and Marshall Robert Hawkins, three great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Marian and Alayna Hawkins.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm and the funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM, with reception to follow on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Bethel Assembly of God with Pastor T.R.
