Franklin- William Edward Hare, 59, passed away September 27, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. A native of Giles County, VA, he was predeceased by his father, Wesley Hare and his stepfather, Bill Gross.

He was retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 37 years, Sylvia Williamson Hare, his daughter, Jessica Hare Cline and her husband Austin of Norfolk, a son, Kevin Harrison of Franklin, his mother, Toby Ann Gross of Franklin, his grandson, Reid Oliver Cline, two sisters, Debbie Parker and her husband Kenny of Chesapeake, Katrina Carr and her husband Mark of Franklin, three brothers, Randy Hare and his wife Janice of Bealeton, David Hare and his wife Dee of Dublin and John Hare and his wife Carrie of Front Royal, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6PM Friday, September 30, 2016 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
