Suffolk-William Darden Daughtrey, 75 , passed away February 7, 2015. William was born in Franklin a son of the late William Thomas Daughtrey, Jr., and Elizabeth Darden Daughtrey. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Charles L. Daughtrey and James E. "Goat" Daughtrey.

He was retired from International Paper after 35 years of service and from Farmers Produce after 7 years. He was an Air Force Veteran, a graduate of Windsor High School and was a Baptist.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Shirley Edmund Daughtrey, one daughter, Debbie Bowles and husband Wayne, one son, Thomas M. Daughtrey and wife Vicki, two sisters, Peggy D. Cutchin and Joetta D. Rice and her husband Al of MA., sister- in- law Betty Daughtrey and three grandchildren, Christy Adkins and husband Dave, Jenny Bailey and husband Mike and Marshall Bowles, two great grandchildren, Kennedy and Riley Bailey and several beloved nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 11AM at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Randy Wright officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home and suggest memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or your favorite Cancer Relay for Life team. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
