Franklin – William Curtis Carr, 71, died July 18, 2010 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was born in Isle of Wight County and was a farmer.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Bradshaw Carr; one daughter, Tammy C. Steih of Boykins; two sons, W. Dale Carr (Beth Ann) of Wakefield and James "Benjie" Carr of Franklin; seven grandchildren, April Steih, Adam Gray, Cathryn Carr, Ricky Carr, Jessica Carr, Lily Carr, and Rose Carr; one sister, Lucille Cutchins (Richard) of Franklin; three brothers, John Carr (Helen) of Courtland, Bruce Carr of Franklin, and Ronald Carr (Pat) of Franklin. Mr. Carr was predeceased by his father, Luther Carr, a sister, Virgie Tharrington, and a brother, George Carr.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Ashby officiating. Wright Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
