Suffolk- Wilbur Hamilton Wright, 93, passed away April 5, 2016. Mr. Wright was born in Jackson, NC and was a retired data manager for the Naval Air Rework Facility in Norfolk after 42 years of service. A US Navy WWII veteran, he served with the Seabees in Europe and in the Pacific. He was predeceased by his first wife, Christine Dark Wright and his second wife, Laura 'Libby" Parron Bailey Wright and a sister, Rosalee Tuttle.

Left to cherish his memory is a daughter, Cindy Albertson (Terry) of Suffolk, a son, Kent Wright (Mitzie) of Chesapeake, a sister, Ruby W. Kants of Chesapeake, three grandchildren, Kristy Lee Wright, Christopher William Prater Albertson and Michael Ryan Albertson, four step daughters, Nancy Futrell of Murfreesboro, Helen Bleil of Como, Audrey Bailey of Murfreesboro, Barbara Eure of Como, two step sons, Billy Bailey of Como and Douglas Bailey of Courtland, fourteen step grandchildren, eleven step great grandchildren and three step great great grandchildren

A funeral will be held at 2PM Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Wright Funeral Home, 206 West Fourth Ave, Franklin, VA with the Rev. Sean Gallagher officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Buckhorn Baptist Church Cemetery, Como, NC.
