Franklin-Virginia Johnson Vick, 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday September 25, 2016 at Sentara Obici Hospital surrounded by her family. Born December 27, 1928 in Southampton County,VA, Virginia was a daughter of the late Frank and Marie Barrett Johnson. She was one of six brothers and sisters and was predeceased by them all . When Virginia was 16 years old she met her husband, Lafayette Callis "L.C." Vick. They had a loving 54 years of marriage before he passed in 2003. They are now reunited in Heaven with our Lord Jesus.

Virginia was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She was a Godly woman and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School until her health no longer allowed it.

She leaves behind a family that loves her dearly, three daughters, Wanda Cotton and husband Ed, Deborah Ledbetter, Sheila Johnstone and one son, L.C. Vick, Jr., four grandchildren, Derrick Ledbetter and wife Holly, Daniel Johnstone, Jamie Story and husband Kendall and Sarah Johnson, five great grandchildren, Riley Johnson, Makenzie Ledbetter, Ashton, Amelia and Colton Story. She had many nieces and nephews. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

The funeral will be held at 12 noon Thursday September 29, 2016 at Sycamore Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Roger D. Crump and Rev. Patricia Crump officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at 11AM (one hour prior to the service) in the church fellowship hall and suggests that memorial donations be made to Sycamore Baptist Church. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
