Franklin – Virginia Wade Roughton, 84, widow of Clarence Earl Roughton, passed away December 14, 2018 in Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.  She was born in Southampton County and was a daughter of the late Leonard Lysanda Wade and Virgie Bradshaw Wade.  She was predeceased by a sister Eunice Sorrell and a brother Junious Wade. Virginia was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, operated Four Brothers Store, and was known for her cooking.

Survivors include two daughters Mary Lee Butler and Rita Beltrami (Ernie); a son Roy Marvin Darden, Jr. (Charla); five grandchildren Angela B. Bell (Anthony), Cathy B. Pittman (Kevin), Allen Butler (Crystal), Crystal Pittman (Frank), and Brittany Beltrami; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be private.  Family and friends are invited to Roy and Charla Darden's house at 30390 Smith's Ferry Road in Franklin, Sunday, December 16, 2018, from 1-5 PM for a time of visitation.  www.wrightfuneralhome.org
