Courtland, Va. – Virginia Helen Bush "Jini" Stephens, 72, died September 14, 2009. She was born in Gladwin, Michigan, a daughter of the late Frank and Ione Hubert Bush, and was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Gulick. She was a graduate of Roscommon High School and Mid Michigan Junior College in Mt. Pleasant, MI. Virginia was retired from Dow Chemical after 37 years service and was a former president for four terms of the Michigan Secretarial Association.
Following a 2006 stroke, she was a resident of The Pines in Gladwin for 27 months, and on May 1, 2009, relocated to the Courtland Health Care Center, Courtland, Va, to be near her family.
Survivors include her brother, Franklin H. Bush of Chester, Va; step-daughter, Victoria Stephens of Nashville, Tenn; two nieces, Debbie Starke and Wendy Vaughan, both of Capron, Va. and one nephew, Terry Bush of Chester, Va.
