Obituary

Franklin – Viola Elizabeth Bradshaw Clark, 87, widow of Frank Raby Clark, went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2008. Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Almyra Pond Bradshaw. Mrs. Clark was predeceased by her first husband, Vinson Raiford; a daughter, Mary Catherine Raiford; five sisters, Catherine Lowe, Virgie Wade, Mary Parker, Lillie Bradshaw, Martha Bradshaw; and five brothers, Alvin, August, Clinton, George, and Reginald Bradshaw. She was a retired supervisor from H. P. Beale and Sons, a member of High Street Senior Citizens, and a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Hazel Raiford Greene and husband, R. B., of Franklin; two grandchildren, Lori G. Bailey and husband, Steve, of Courtland and Steven L. Greene and wife, Hope, of Franklin; three great-grandchildren, Travis Bailey, Zachary Greene, and Bradley Bailey; two sisters, Gladys Holt of Alabama and Doris Stephenson of Zuni; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Rob Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm today (Tuesday) at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made to Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Building Fund, 37527 Seacock Chapel Road, Zuni, Va. 23898. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
