Franklin – Vincent Thomas Shea, Jr., 85, passed away on October 18, 2022 in Accordius Health at Courtland.  Born in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Vincent T. Shea, Sr. and Vivian King Shea.  He was also predeceased by two sisters, Evelyn S. Huey and Joanne S. Gough.

Vincent was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a graduate of Virginia Tech.  He served in the US Navy and was a Mill Engineer for Union Camp Corporation.

Left to cherish his memory is four daughters, Susan S. Williams (Craig), Catherine S. Burgess (Stan), Julie S. Smiley (Chris) and Cynthia S. Panikowski (Justin); a brother, Butch Shea (Susan); nine grandchildren, Ryan Burgess (Lauren), Olivia Williams, Zach Burgess, Danielle Minguez (Aaron), Adam Williams (Jami), Rachel Bamba (Justin), Joshua Smiley, Brielle Panikowski, and Gunnar Panikowski; and four great grandchildren, Brianna Hardy, Serenity Hardy, Brayden Hardy, and Easton Burgess.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3PM Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Poplar Spring Cemetery off of Homestead Rd with Pastor Matt Kidd officiating.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kingdom Impact Building Fund.
