Zuni – Vera Lee Dakin, 93, widow of Maurice Conley Dakin, died November 6, 2009 at Consulate Healthcare in Windsor. She was born in Grundy and was a former resident of Bluefield, Va. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara D. Webster (David); one granddaughter, Melinda Paschal (Tim); two great-granddaughters, Shana and Lyndsey Paschal; and her adopted family, the Anello's of Windsor, especially her "pizza man", Joe Anello. Mrs. Dakin was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Dakin.
