Franklin – Veneta Ruth Smith, 90, widow of Fred Smith, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in Dexter, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ella Veatch Biggerstaff and resided in Colton, California most of her life. Mrs. Smith was an avid doll and teddy bear collector and maker. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Ann Smith-Walters, formerly of Cofield, NC.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Wayne Smith and his wife, Patricia of Chesapeake, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
