Franklin- Velma Reeder, 96, passed away January 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell and her son James. She and Russell were longtime residents of Parma, MI and moved to the upper peninsula of Michigan when Russell retired from the railroad. They moved to Franklin, VA in 1999 to be close to their daughter. They were members of the Hunterdale Baptist Church and the family is thankful to Pastor Vinson for his assistance. The family is grateful to the staff at Consulate Health Care for their care of our mother.

She is survived by her daughter Betty Alldaffer (Ron) of Smithfield, VA, daughter-in-law, Betty Reeder of Franklin, VA and three grandsons, James Reeder of Franklin,VA, Ronald Alldaffer (Barbara) of Maple Grove, MN and Daniel Alldaffer (Kathy) of Buckhannon, WV and four great grandchildren, Daniel, Ryan, Abby and Kathryn.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan.
