Windsor, VA – Valerie Elizabeth, "Val" Dennis, 52, passed away August 29, 2021 in Durango, Colorado.  Val was born in California and was raised in Blackwell, Texas.  She was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Myrle Thompson of Windsor.

Val was a Navy Veteran and a seasonal office hostess at the Silverton Lakes RV Resort and a bartender at the Golden Block Brewery and Pizzaria in Silverton, CO.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Greg Dennis; one daughter, Victoria Elizabeth "Tori" Saunders (Jeffrey) of Sedley; two sons, Justin Thompson Whittney of Texas and Boyce Townsend of Battery Park; Greg's five children, Paul Dennis, Sean Dennis, Brittany Wilson, Amber Dennis, and Caleb Dennis; three brothers, Stephen, Clark and Mark Thompson; nine grandchildren with the 10 ^th one on the way; and her former husband, William Dean Townsend.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 6PM Friday September 24, 2021 in Wright Funeral Home with Bishop Roger Holland officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to gofund.me/de5e6ffd.
