Carrsville- Travis Dwayne Powell, 25, passed away May 1, 2016 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Travis was born in Franklin and was a pipefitter at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and driving his truck.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved son, Brantley Dwayne Powell, his mother, Wanda Billups White (Chuck), his father, Steven D. Powell, maternal grandparents, Earl Billups (Betty), the late Mable Billups, paternal grandparents, Harold and Betty Powell, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and beloved friends.

A funeral will be held at 11Am Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. Burial will follow at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
