Franklin- Timothy Lee "The Bookman" Swain, 65, passed away August 3, 2016 at home. A native of Portsmouth, he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was the former owner and operator of "The Bookman" in Suffolk and Franklin. Tim was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie Lee Swain, his father, Edward Swain and a sister, Theresa Swain.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby Mae Chandler, five sons, Timothy, Michael, and James and Jason Swain (Marina Beach) and Christopher Swain (Nichole), two brothers, Bruce Swain (Teresa) and Tony Swain (Pam), one granddaughter, Anastasia.

A funeral will be held at 11AM Monday, August 8, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Franklin. The burial will be at 1:30 PM at Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth.
