Courtland – Thomas Herbert Ward, 43, passed away July 11, 2017. Thomas was born in Franklin and was a graduate of Southampton Academy and had attended Chowan University.

He was predeceased by his father Thomas Hubert Hooper, Sr. and his stepfather Jim Ward.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother Shelia Ellis Ward, a sister Michelle Fausett (Jonathan) of AK, one niece Cynthia Jewel Dowler, six aunts, Carolyn Counts and Suzane Hooper both of Waynesville, NC, Brenda Bradshaw of Franklin, Judith W. Wells of Hopewell, Mary L. Duke of Franklin and Shelby Ward of Courtland.

A memorial service will be held at 7PM Thursday July 20, 2017 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with Pastor Matt Kidd officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Courtland Volunteer Fire Dept. or Courtland Volunteer Rescue Squad. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
