Carrsville – Thomas Watson Smithson, Sr., 57, passed away February 8, 2014. Mr. Smithson was a long-distance truck driver. His love for his family was most important to him and his relaxation method was boating and fishing.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Diane Craddock; daughter, Misty Sutton, and husband, John, of Windsor, VA; three sons, Michael Smithson of Oklahoma City, OK, Thomas Smithson, Jr. of Sandbridge, VA, and Clint Smithson of Canton, GA; one step-son, Curtis Hoggard, Sr. of Franklin; one sister, Senea Brooks of Chesapeake; three brothers, David Smithson of Alvin, TX, Vernon Smithson of Ahoskie, NC and Charles Smithson of Ahoskie, NC; 27 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and his mother, Fannie Tabor of Norfolk.
He was predeceased by his father, Lemuel Smithson and two step-children, J.J. and Michele Wade.
