Obituary

Franklin – Thomas Haralson "Tom" Moore, 92, passed away October 16, 2025 in Asa's Neighborhood at The Village at Woods Edge.  Born on March 2, 1933, in Norfolk, he was a son of the late Edward and Beulah Haralson Moore.  He was also predeceased by two sisters, Edna Howell and Mildred White, and a brother, Billy Moore.

Tom was a graduate of Holland High School earning the honor of Valedictorian and Class President and served in the US Air Force earning the rank of Staff Sergeant.  He worked in the Colonial Store in Downtown Suffolk for many years before going to Union Camp in Franklin where he retired as a Sales Service Manager.  Tom was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

He enjoyed his vegetable garden, followed by canning and freezing veggies for winter cooking.  His great sports love was skiing – water and snow.  Many nieces and nephews still remember when Uncle Tom taught them to water ski.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 72 years, Oneita Green Moore; a son, Roderick Moore and his wife Lesa of Portsmouth; a grandson, Russell Moore and his wife Nicole; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date.
