Garner, NC- Thomas Love Kirles, Jr., 91, passed away November 15, 2015. Mr Kirles was born in Princess Anne County, VA and was a former resident of Norfolk, VA.

He was a graduate of Maury High School and was a former accountant with Virginia Electric and Power Company, Lincoln Company, and Marsh Kitchens. Mr. Kirles was also a professional jazz trumpet player. He was presently a member of Aversboro Rd. Baptist Church in Garner, NC where he enjoyed being in the choir playing his trumpet and playing for veteran's services.

He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Ethel Mae Kirles and also by his wife, the former Eunice Beaton (Honey Lane) mother of Thomas L. Kirles, III.

Survivors include two sons, Chaplain Lt. Col. Thomas Love Kirles, III (USAF Ret.) and his wife Holly of Colorado Springs , CO, and John David Kirles and his wife Patricia of Angier, NC, three grandchildren, Jeremy Thomas Kirles (Crystal), Jennifer Robin Kirles and Alexandra Kirles, three great grandchildren, Creed Lewis Kirles, Allegra Anne Kirles and Chapel Lewis Kirles and his former wives; Juanita Kirles (mother of John David Kirles), and Emma Kirles.

A memorial service will be held at 10 AM Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 at Aversboro Rd. Baptist Church, Garner, NC with Pastor Harvey Whaley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at 3:30 PM at Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin,VA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Music Ministry of Aversboro Rd. Baptist Church, 1600 Aversboro Rd., Garner, NC 27529.
