Thomas Edward "Sonny" Faison, 40, beloved son of R. Thomas Jr. and Jewel King Faison, passed away on January 22, 2013 after a long illness with his family and closest friends at his bedside. Sonny was born in Franklin, November 1, 1972 and was a 1991 graduate of Windsor High School and a former student of Paul D. Camp. A longtime employee of Chapman Lumber Co. in Boykins, Sonny attended Bethel Assembly of God. Besides his parents, left to cherish his memory is his sister, Anissa K. Strickland and her husband Glenn and their children, Katelyn and Joel, and his beloved fur-babies, Bear, Missy and Dude. Sonny was predeceased by his grandparents, Edward G. and Patty King of Franklin and Raymond T. Sr. and Hazel Faison of Emporia.
A funeral will be held at 2PM, Friday, January 25, 2013 at Bethel Assembly of God, 8904 S Quay Rd., Suffolk, VA with the Rev. T.R. King and the Rev. David Hicks officiating. A visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall. The burial will be Saturday at 2PM in the Bethlehem UMC Cemetery, Hwy 43
