Obituary

Franklin - Thelma Lorraine "Nana" Lane, 100, passed away May 27, 2207 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lane was born in Portsmouth and lived most of her life in Richmond. She was retired from the American Tobacco Company.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Stuart Ford of Port St. Lucie, Fl; five grandchildren, Sandi Beale and husband, Hugh, of Franklin, Evelyn Daniel and husband, Jim, Stuart Ford and wife, Peggy, Lee Ford, all of Richmond, Artie Ford and wife, Teri, of Christiansburg; six great-grandchildren, Lisa B. Francis and husband, Ken, of Newsoms, Trey Beale of Franklin, Cierra, Mikayla, and Taylor Ford, all of Christiansburg, Wendy Hodges of Richmond; three great-great-grandchildren, Cameron Marie Francis, Tyler and Brennan Hodges; one half-sister, Mary Catherine Overton; two dear nieces, Vera Sandlin and Nancy Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lane was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothea F. Harrison, four sisters, Ethel Kamen, Evelyn Evanson, Grace Callahan, Louise Williams, and two brothers, William and Richard Lane.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday at Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the home of Sandi and Hugh Beale, 325 Robinhood Road, and suggest memorials be made to a favorite charity. Condolences may be offered at www.wrightfuneralhome.org
