Suffolk – Theodore Roosevelt Drake, Jr. age 83, passed away December 28, 2019 in Sentara Obici Hospital. Ted was born in Franklin and was a 1954 graduate of Courtland High School. He was the owner of Ted Drake Insurance Agency for over 55 years. He was an Army Veteran and a Baptist. Ted was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline Blythe Drake, his parents Theodore R. Drake, Sr. and Iva Holland Drake, a sister Dorothy D. Burgess and two half-brothers, Wilbur and Melvin Turner.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Theodore R. "Teddy" Drake, III and Mark S. Drake (Bonnie) all of Suffolk, two grandchildren, Bailey and Dalton Drake, one sister Shara Drake Kitchen (Nick) of Franklin and a host of nieces and nephews.
