Boykins – T. R. Griffin, 95, passed away May 16, 2018 in his home. Born in Speers Ferry, VA, he was a son of the late James Harvey and Lizzie Felts Griffin and was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Janice DeLoatche Griffin; his second wife Hylah Marks Griffin; a brother, James F. Griffin; and a sister, Wanda G. Edwards. T. R. was a member of Boykins Baptist Church since 1937, an Army veteran of World War II, a charter member of Boykins Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, mayor of Boykins for many years and retired rural letter carrier after 30 years of service.

Survivors include his son, Michael T. Griffin; his daughter, Melonie Griffin; his granddaughter, Megan E. Griffin; and Hylah's children, Ann (Bobby), Woody (Cheryl), Wayne (Lynn) and Natalie (Tim) and their families.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 18, 2018 in Wright Funeral Home Boykins Chapel with Rev. Scott Biggers officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the residence and suggest memorials be made to Boykins Baptist Church or Boykins Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.   www.wrightfuneralhome.org
