Branchville – Susan Scott Story, 62, widow of James Edward "Jimmy" Story, passed away June 7, 2021 in her home with family by her side.   She was a daughter of the late Donald John Scott and Opal Ramona Gray Goode.

Susan was a graduate of Ahoskie High School and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.  She was the Marketing Director for Commonwealth Senior Living.  She loved shopping, Christmas, and her grandkids.

Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Ginger White Dickinson (Carl), Tina Story Clark (Jeffrey), and Jennifer Leigh Casper (David); two sons, James Kevin Story (Heather) and Brian Scott Story (Nikki); a sister, Mary Lyn Scott Kelley (Clark); a brother, Joseph G. Scott, Sr. (Corella); and 14 grandchildren, Darrien Story, Jacee Clark, Thomas, Nicholas, Wyatt, and Aiden Casper, Miranda Story, Carson, Charlotte, and Makenzie Story, and Carl James, Penelope, Luke, and Elsie Dickinson.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Friday, June 11, 2021 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. David Henson officiating.  Burial will be private in Poplar Spring Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
