Franklin – Susan Elizabeth Harrison Griffin, 74, passed away March 5, 2019 in Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton.  Susan was born in Portsmouth and was a daughter of the late Jasper and Mary Harrison and was also predeceased by a sister Barbara Weatherford and a brother J. Alva Harrison, Jr.  Susan was formerly of Emporia and was a retired bookkeeper for C. S. Livesay and Co. and J. L. Walston and Associates both of Emporia.  She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Frank R. Griffin, Jr.; one son Frank R. "Robbie" Griffin, III; three sisters Mary Frances Allen of Lawrenceville, Janice Stevens of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Lois Gibson (Ron) of Emporia; a brother-in-law Ronnie Griffin (Annie) of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 9, 2019 in High Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nathan Decker officiating.  The family will receive friends in the church one hour prior to the service and suggest that Memorial Donations may be made to High Street United Methodist Church, P. O.
