Courtland – Susan Winfree Clark, 65, passed away May 5, 2023 in St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond. Susan was born in Richmond, Va. and was a graduate of Manchester High School and Elon College. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert Nelson and Marguerite Morrison Winfree.

Susan was retired from the Accounting Department of International Paper and was an active member of Courtland United Methodist Church. Susan loved visiting her family's river house in Tappahannock and traveling to new destinations with her husband and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 44 years, Stephen L. Clark and one son, Robbie P. Clark and his wife Keelin of Fredericksburg, two brothers, Bruce Winfree and his wife Frances and Russell Winfree and his wife Diane all of Chesterfield and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday May 9, 2023 from 6 to 7:30 PM in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday May 10, 2023 in Courtland United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Harrington officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Courtland United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
