Courtland – Stephen Frederick Parrish, 68, passed away on February 10, 2024 Richmond VA Medical Center.  Born and raised in Franklin, he was a son of the late Frank Roland Parrish and Kathryn Payne Parrish.  He was also predeceased by a brother, Franklin Roland Parrish, Jr. and a brother-in-law, Perry Cole.

Stephen was a Navy veteran and an automobile paint technician for R. J.'s Auto Body.  He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

He is survived by four daughters, Angela P. Baynard (Michael), Christina P. Baynard (Melvin), Merissa P. Ward (Shaun), and Catherine P. Beebe (Justin); two sons, John Justice (Jamie) and Stephen Parrish (Megan); two sisters, Kay P. Grovestee (Lon) and Ann P. Cole; two brothers, John M. Parrish (Phyllis) and Tim B. Parrish (Mary); 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held at 2PM Friday, February 16, 2024 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Wallace officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Murfreesboro, NC.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Crisis Pregnancy Center of Tidewater, 757-410-9703 or cpcfriends.org.
