Stacey Belvin Phillips

Franklin - It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Stacey Belvin Phillips who passed away in her sleep on September 27, 2026, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

Stacey grew up throughout parts of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, eventually making Franklin and Boykins, Virginia, her home for much of her life.

Stacey’s greatest joy in life was being a wife and a mom. She loved her late husband, Albert, with all of her heart, and her children were her world. Her family meant everything to her, and she cherished the life and memories they built together. She had an unconditional love for her animals, who were just as much a part of her family.

Stacey had a heart of gold. She never made anyone feel unwanted and always had a way of making people feel loved and welcomed. No matter what she was going through herself, she was always there for anyone who needed something. She had a deep compassion for both people and animals and spent much of her life helping those in need.

Stacey was a creative soul who loved art in all its forms and enjoyed cooking. Some of her favorite memories were made simply by spending time with the people she loved, including playing Pokémon GO with her children. She cherished those moments together and the memories they created along the way.

She leaves behind her beloved children, Briar Phillips and his wife, Destiny Phillips, and Brooke Rhoney and her husband, Timothy Rhoney; her sister, Tracey Belvin Gibson; as well as the many family members, friends, and animals who loved her dearly.

Stacey’s life was defined by love. Love for her family, love for animals, and love for anyone who needed her. Though her three-year battle with cancer was difficult, she continued to give love and kindness to those around her.

Her love, compassion, creativity, and generous heart will live on through everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
