Franklin – Shirley Williams Thode, 70, widow of Charles William "Chuck" Thode passed away April 20, 2012. Shirley was a daughter of the late Livius N. and Mildred Parke Williams. She was a graduate of Southampton High School and Radford University and was a retired hospital computer programmer.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Deborah Bradley and Gail Shilling, two brothers, David M. Williams and Bruce P. Williams and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Rita Kanten officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Grace Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 73 Sedley, VA 23878. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
