Franklin – Shirley Ann Zembower Lowdermilk, 72, widow of Richard Francis Lowdermillk, and formerly of Capron, died December 6, 2007. A native of Cumberland, Md. she was a daughter of the late Cortes Calvin and Thelma Kasecamp Zembower. Mrs. Lowdermilk was a former violinist with the Cumberland Symphony, a former competitive skater, and was accomplished in crocheting and knitting. She was a nurse and a member of Zion Methodist Church in Cumberland, Md.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Penny Kay Barry and husband, Tris, of Purcellville; her son, Richard Dean Lowdermilk and wife, Gayle, of Courtland; one brother, James Cortes Zembower and wife, Josephine, of Cumberland, Md.; three grandchildren, Daniel Lowdermilk, T. J. & Jamie Barry; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved MeMe.
A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in Cumberland, Md. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm Sunday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggest memorials be made to Capron Fire & Rescue Squad, P. O.
