Franklin – Shirley Bridgers Crowder, 84, passed away peacefully at her home at The Village at Woods Edge on April 11, 2017. She was born in Northampton County, NC, a daughter of the late Russell and Bertha Britt Bridgers. She was predeceased by her husband, Hayes A. Crowder, Jr. and two sisters and one brother, Margaret Tucker, Sandra Worrell and Ronnie Bridgers.

Mrs. Crowder was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and retired from Dominion Bank.

Left to cherish her memory is one daughter, Cathy Crowder Belcher and her husband Sammy of Franklin, two grandsons, Scott Belcher and his wife Lisa and Matt Belcher and his wife Janae, four great grandchildren, Chandler, Meredith, Hayes and Harper Belcher, several nieces and nephews and her loyal canine companion, Max.

A memorial service will be held at 2PM Friday April 14, 2017 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Gibson officiating. The burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Baptist Church for the church's music program. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
