Franklin - Shirley Marie Blank, 85, widow of George Frederick Blank, passed away July 15, 2012 at Sentara Obici Hospital. Born in Union City, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Emma Lunsman Spiegel. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Spiegel, Jr. and Charles Spiegel, and four sisters, Margie Blanton, Mildred Spiegel, Adele Spiegel and Gloria Spiegel.
Left to cherish her memory are her two nephews, Charlie Spiegel, Jr. and wife, Neda, of Iowa and Thomas Blanton of Virginia Beach; a great niece, Karen Spiegel of Idaho and a beloved extended family, Greg, Angela, Jamie and Lucas Cutchin.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Danny Dillon officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
