Franklin – Sharon Lunt Ward, 60, passed away July 6, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Norfolk and reared in Murfreesboro, NC and was a daughter of the late Robert Warren Lunt and Audrey Mae Faust Lunt and was also predeceased by her husband William Marland Ward.

Sharon was a graduate of Murfreesboro High School, attended Rock Church of Franklin and worked for Wal-Mart in Suffolk for 18 years.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Crystal D. Ward of Franklin, two sons, William Shane Ward and wife Audrey and Robert Shawn Ward and wife Merissa all of Franklin, a sister Sarah Newsome of Murfreesboro, NC, a brother Robert Lunt and wife Connie of Higgonsville, MO and seven grandchildren, Taylor, Angel, Bubby, Shawnray, Tasia, Hailey and Christopher.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Monday July 10, 2017 at Poplar Spring Cemetery with Pastor Chris Wallace officiating. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Dr., Virginia Beach, VA 23452. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
