Sedley – Shannon Marie Howington, 39, passed away May 1 , 2024  at Sentara Obici Hospital. Shannon was born in Goldsboro, NC, and was a former resident of Currituck, NC. She was the lead cook at The Children's Center in Franklin.

She enjoyed life with her family, fishing, and going to the beach. She loved to cook for the Family, and for the Children at The Children's Center in Franklin.

Left to cherish her memory is her fiancé, Scott E. Evans, her parents, Barry A. Howington  (Renee) and her mother, Marcia M. Parker  (Carlton);  a niece, Judith Greene and one nephew, Ezra Hilbig, one sister, Chelsea Lambert (Josh), one brother, B. Alan Howington, Jr.

Shannon is pre-deceased by a sister, Brittany Greene.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Franklin High School.
