Courtland – Horace Scott Morris, 46, passed away January 9, 2022 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  Born in Franklin, he was a son of the late Johnnie Mitchell Morris and June Carol Joyner Forrest.

Scott was a 1994 graduate of Southampton High School.  He was a former Virginia National Guardsman and the owner and operator of RMC Heating and Cooling.  Scott was a member of Courtland Masonic Lodge #85 A.F. & A.M.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 12 years, Patricia Leigh "Trish" Morris; two daughters, Raven Morris (Aaron Dorr) and Makayla Morris; a son, Calob Morris; his mom D'Ann "Dee" Morris; a brother, Patrick Morris (Sherri); two sisters, Dori Forrest (Josh) and Jean Forrest; sisters-in-law, Cathy Morris and Beverly Vick (Joe); nieces and nephews, Zach (Rachel), Caitlin (Hunter), Tristan, Jazmine, KJ, Elizabeth "Lizzie", Ryann, Joshua "WaWa", Isabella "Bella", and Jacob; and numerous other family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM Saturday, January 15, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home with Billy Allmond officiating.  The family suggests that memorial donations may be made to Courtland Masonic Lodge #85, 22142 Main Street, Courtland, VA  23837.
