Franklin, VA – Sarah Barnes Womble, 83, widow of Willard Earl Womble, passed away July 4, 2025 at the East Pavilion. Sarah was born in Courtland and was a daughter of the late Robert T. and Maggie Whitehead Barnes. She was also predeceased by a brother Robert T. "Bobby" Barnes, Jr. Sarah was a member of Courtland Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister Bonnie Hasty, two nieces, Kelli Garris (Neil) and Debbie Fuller, one nephew, Robbie Hasty (Ercelle) and other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Wallace officiating. The burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Courtland Baptist Church.
