Franklin – Sarah Fowler Long, 74, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 at Consulate Health Care of Windsor.  A native of Franklin she was a daughter of the late Johnie and Virginia Worrell Fowler and was also predeceased by her husband of 50 years Robert James "Jimmy" Long and a brother Johnny Fowler.

Mrs. Long was a 1963 graduate of Franklin High School and was a retired bookkeeper from Drake Tire after 37 years of service. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Shannon Denise Long, a grandson Michael Justus, three sisters, Faye Vinson (Carlton) of Franklin, Mary Elizabeth Marshall of Suffolk and Martha Ann Lander of Mechanicsville, two brothers, William Henry Fowler (Becky) and Lawson Worrell Fowler both of Franklin.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in Wright Funeral Home with Mr. Drew Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Southampton Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
