Capron – Sammy Boyce "Sam" Bruno, 72, passed away July 4, 2020 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.  Born in Salisbury, Maryland, he was the son of the late Samuel Edward Bruno and Sadie Mae Campbell Bruno.  Sammy was also predeceased by a sister, Gail Lavengetto.

Sammy served in the Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran.  He retired from hotel management.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Helen Lewis Bruno; his daughter, Maria Vargo of Boykins; his son Michael Bruno of Boykins; a sister, Sandra Bass of Courtland; three grandchildren, Emmanuel Bruno, Samantha Richards, and Christopher Vargo; one great grandchild, Blake Richards; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the Courtland Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. John-Paul Lotz officiating.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Courtland Rescue Squad.
