Russell F. Revelle, Sr.

Franklin - Russell F. Revelle, Sr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October
19, 2011. He was born on April 13, 1923. He was pre-deceased by his father Robert Percy Revelle, his mother Elisabeth Simmons Revelle, and his wife of 63 years Raybe Oldham Revelle. Left to cherish their memories of him; his son, Russell F. "Floyd" Revelle, Jr. and his wife, Tina; his daughter, Ginger Revelle Baum, and her husband, Bob; two grandchildren; Floyd Keith Revelle (Valerie) and Jonathan Clark Mobley; his two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Megan Revelle; a sister, Hazel Bryant (Raymond) and a dear friend, Bessie Shiflette. He was a WWII Veteran and a retiree of Union Camp Corporation. He is a former member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church and a current member of Oasis in the Desert Church. Visitation will be held at the Oasis in the Desert Church, 1315 Carrsville Highway (Airway Shopping Center), from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 21st. His homegoing service will be Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11: 00 a.m. followed by burial at Southampton Memorial Park. Dr. Robert L Baum, Pastor, will officiate. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Russell's name to the Oasis in the Desert Church, P.O. Box 1190, Franklin, VA 23851.
