Franklin – Russell Darden Cotton, 60, passed away November 18, 2017. Russ was born in Norfolk and was a son of the late Russell B. and Dorothy Darden Cotton. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and a 1976 graduate of Southampton Academy. Russell was a supervisor for Sandy Land Peanut Company and a member of Forks of the River Hunt Club.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Judy Bailey Cotton, daughter Ashley Jean Cotton, son William Russell "Will" Cotton, sister Patsy C. Falls, a niece Patricia Falls Davis and husband Ben, a nephew Douglas Falls and wife Stephanie, two stepchildren, April Renee Griffin and T.J. Griffin and wife Debra, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Monday November 20, 2017 in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. M. Reginald Warren officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 7:30 PM at Wright Funeral Home and suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. ww.wrightfuneralhome.org
