Franklin- Rubin Edward Story, Sr., 89, widower of Nell Daughtrey Story, passed away October 29, 2016. Mr. Story was a native of Southampton County, a son of the late John Otis and Nancy Harcum Story and was also predeceased by a grandchild, Brandon Walker, a sister, Inez Worrell and a brother, Elliott Story. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and a retired Produce Manager for A&P. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Whaley (Mark), Cindy Walker (Larry), four sons, Ken Story (Debbie), Rubin Story, Jr. (Kaye), Wayne Story (Betty), Glenn Story (Wanda), a sister, Shirley Ross, fourteen grandchildren, Stephanie Duke, Dana Jones, Angela Pittman, Jason and Brian Cross, Kristy Pearce, Stacy Story, Angel Clarke, Larry Walker, Jr., Sara Story, Lauren Morgan, Ashley Morris, John Fowler and Holly Ferrell and twenty four great grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11AM Wednesday November 2, 2016 at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday night from 6 to 8PM and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Childrens Hospital of the Kings Daughter, P.O.
