Franklin – Roy Russell, 79, passed away June 29, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Ruby Russell and three brothers, Guy, Ralph and Frank Russell.

Roy retired from the US Navy and Surry Power Station.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years Judith Russell, two sons, Michael Russell (Denise) and Jeffrey Russell (Jeannine), three sisters, Linda, Mildred and Nora, a brother, Steve, eight grandchildren, Kayla, Kacie, Daniel, Holly, Samuel, Brandon, Christopher and Jocelyn.

A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 1PM Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Suffolk Church of Christ, 2025 Holland Rd., Suffolk, VA.
